CFW Postcard: BRUS

Nostalgic microbrewery in the middle of the city

In an old iron foundry and locomotive factory in Copenhagen district Nørrebro lies the combined brewpub, restaurant, shop and bar BRUS. The guys behind the brewery To Øl and Mikropolis bar joined forces and opened BRUS in May 2016.

At BRUS all beers are made on the spot in the small brewery in the bag of  the 750 square meter factory building. The beer selection changes frequently, so make sure to drop by every now and then. For the not so beer loving people the cocktails are also worth the visit.

The kitchen at BRUS reflects elements from the brewing world. Try the glazed pork shank with sauerkraut, BRUS mustard, Pineapple vinegar or maybe the beef burger with truffel mayo. Remember to order the fermented potato fries on the side - they will make your beer loving self run wild!

If you need to get your irritated liver fixed after a long night out, every Sunday BRUS is your friend in need. The kitchens serves the so-called BRUS Brunch Hangover Cure; choose from a variety of eggs, sweet treats like pancakes with berries, rose-Chantilly cream and berry syrup, “stupid amounts of coffee” as they like to put it, bloody mezcal mary, virgin marys and of course the “Reparationsbajer” (reperation beer), if that's the only cure working for you. The brunch is served from 11.00-14.00 every Sunday.
