CFW Postcard: Absalon

Absalon - an extention of your own living room

At the cosy street Sønder Boulevard in Copenhagen district Vesterbro lies Absalon - a former church and now community house open to the public.

Consider Absalon as an extension of your own living room. Then fill the living room with friends, table tennis, music, backgammon, movies, banko, food, coffee, chess, and yoga and you're pretty much there.  Absalon is an event space open to everybody. The goal is to include all kinds of people and give all kinds of people the opportunity to meet each other.

At Absalon you can dance your heart away to the sound of disco music 8 o'clock in the morning before going to work. You can eat great and cheap food with 180 other people. Or maybe consider bringing your friends to the many quiz games regarding everything from sneakers to Spice Girls.

Every Friday Absalon hosts Friday Night Delight, where the former church is  transformed into a discoteque with cheep drinks, cool DJ's and disco balls dangling on top of your head.

Absalon is indeed a place of its own.
